FAQs about DJI FPV clarified

Some of the most common questions I've been getting from you guys lately via Tech Support are which DJI FPV products are compatible and how to bind them.

What digital FPV products are available from DJI?

• DJI Goggle V1 and DJI Goggle V2
• DJI FPV remote control, FPV Remote V2 and the FPV motion control
• AirUnit and AirUnit Lite (in the following I will only refer to these as Air Units, as manufacturer and design do not play a role in compatibility)
  • The Air Units are available from DJI and are now manufactured by Caddx
  • The Air Unit Lite is available from Caddx (then called Caddx Vista) and from Runcam (then called Runcam Link)
  • Both Air Units are now available with a wide range of cameras. All cameras are compatible with all Air Units, whether Air Unit or Air Unit Lite (regardless of the manufacturer). The cable used is a so-called coaxial cable
• DJI FPV drone from the DJI FPV Combo

Which controller can I use with the Air Units?

This is where we enter the compatibility area. The original FPV remote control is only compatible with the Air Units. It cannot be used with the FPV drone from DJI.

Conversely, the same applies to the DJI FPV Remote V2 and the FPV motion control. These two are only intended for use with the DJI FPV drone and are not compatible with the AirUnits.

What can I use DJI FPV Goggles V1 and V2 with?

The two goggles look almost identical. They can only be distinguished by a small V2 on the bottom of the V2 goggle. The DJI Goggle V1 only works with the AirUnits. The DJI Goggle V2 is compatible with both the DJI FPV drone and the Air Units. The goggles have been given two modes for this purpose.
