The TBS CROSSFIRE is a long-range radio based on the latest RF technology, providing self-healing two-way communication and unimaginable range. With -130dB sensitivity, full RF-side diversification, and tiny receivers for FPV quads, the TBS CROSSFIRE incorporates the latest technology to provide a superior long-range control link.

Remote control links have far more than just range to meet, however. Latency, telemetry, robustness against interference, connectivity with smart devices, ease of use, and overall finish are too often sacrificed for that last ounce of range. DEVELOPED BY EXPERTS
Team BlackSheep is notorious for long distance records, ground level flying in the Alps and deep urban missions. During our numerous missions around the globe, we compiled a list of requirements and found that no existing system could cover them all. So we embarked on a long and painful journey to develop an RC connection system from scratch. We put it through its paces for over a year to ensure the highest reliability and state-of-the-art functionality.

You can monitor your drone's real-time position via the OLED display on the transmitter (TBS GPS or BlackBox with DJI Naza or APM-based GPS required). The uplink and downlink status provides a sense of security, and the configuration options via the OLED display eliminate the need for any PC-based configuration tools. The pulsing LED indicates your link budget and link health in colored form (green = continue, orange = turn around). In case of a crash, the drone's position is also visible on the OLED. The receiver's built-in battery automatically turns it into a beacon - and it continues to transmit its last known position until the battery dies.

TELEMETRY / CRSF
As a modern R/C link, it has built-in telemetry. Two-way communication opens up new possibilities. From updating your firmware to setting the video transmitter channel to adjusting flight control parameters like PIDs. Adaptive bandwidth controls transmission speed or optimizes for ultimate range. CRSF is a proprietary TBS communications protocol between the Crossfire and the R/C and flight controls. It offers ultra-low latency with incredible bandwidth (3x faster, 6x more data than any comparable protocol!) With this tight integration, the TBS Crossfire is the logical choice for anyone flying Betaflight, KiSS, or ArduPilot/Pixhawk platforms.
