Ultimate wish list for Christmas 2022

Ho! Ho! Ho! together,

Maxi here, aka maximum_fpv!

Who of you doesn't know the question:

"What do you want for Christmas this year?".

We are happy to help you answer this question. Just like last year, we have put together a small wish list for drone pilots. So if your family or friends ask you, you already have an answer (and don't have to be happy about presents you didn't actually want)

There's something for everyone again this year! From accessories that are not only useful on the workbench, but also in the field, to ready-made Bind&Fly copters.

Let's start with theMust-have accessoriesfor every FPV pilot:

Ethix Prop Tool
A small practical tool for a quick propeller change. In addition, a 2mm and 2.5mm hexagon screwdriver are attached, which should loosen most screws on your copter in an emergency.

Vifly Shortsafer V2 SmokeStopper
This little helper will save you a lot of trouble if you have to re-solder something on your copter or have built a completely new one. Tip: Invest the money before you destroy your circuit board or other components of the copter.

Ethix Tool Case
Practical for pilots who have little experience with tools. This case contains everything you need to get started. It also keeps your FPV backpack tidy.

Torvol Tool Bag Urban Carrier
If you already have tools, this is the perfect companion: this tool bag is perfect for storing and transporting your tools.

GEPRC Universal Screw Box
If you ever lose a screw from your copter, you'll find a suitable replacement screw in this box.

British Drone Industry Goggle Bag
The optimal protection against scratches or dirt when transporting your FPV goggles.

TBS TS100 Löpiston

Sooner or later, every pilot comes to the point where they need to practise soldering. With the TS100, a slim and powerful soldering iron, you have the perfect companion, which you can easily stow away in your tool case if in doubt. Even if you need to solder a motor or similar in a Bando, this is no problem: thanks to the XT-60 plug, operation is possible with a Lipo battery. You can find the right video about soldering here

Torvol Lipo Safe Bag (Urban Carrier or Stealth Edition)
For safe transportation of your Lipo batteries. The fireproof fiberglass-reinforced fabric provides additional protection for your powerful drone batteries.

Ethix Heated Lipo Bag
Not only for protection and transportation, but also for heating your lipos. So that you can achieve your best performance by keeping your lipos at the optimum temperature. Thanks to the insulation, no heat escapes to the outside.

Torvol Landing Pad
Ideal for launching on uneven terrain, a meadow with high grass or on dusty/wet/muddy ground. This prevents your copter from being exposed to unnecessary dirt.

Next you will find someQuads. There is a small selection for both beginners and experienced pilots:

Beginner Kit:

GEPRC TinyGO Racing FPV Whoop RTF beginner kit or also in the 4K version
The perfect set for getting started in this extraordinary hobby: the stylish bag contains everything you need for your first flight in your living room. Four batteries are included, so you have enough juice to improve your skills on the remote control.

Watch our video about the set here:

For the fun in between a small2.5 inch freestyle quad:

iFlight Baby Nazgul Nano Analog 2.5" 1S FPV Freestyle BNF
The large 5 inch Nazgul is a legend among quads. Now it has been shrunk. A small, fully equipped analog 1S copter that is great fun in any location. This version comes with a Crossfire receiver. Weighing just 26g (without battery), it really is a lightweight.

Now we come to the category of5 inch copterswhich is the most common size in the FPV world.

On the subject of analog vs. digital systems, take a look at this video:

We start with the well-known quads withanalog video transmission:

HGLRC Sector X5 Freestyle Analog 4s PNP
Have you had enough of small TinyWhoops and finally want to make the leap to a 5-inch copter? Then the Sector X5 from HGLRC in the 4S Version is a good introduction to the world of 5 inch copters. As most pilots start their FPV hobby with an analog setup, we will show you the analog version here. With the GPS module and aluminum sideplates already installed, you have a real eye-catcher on the field. The 4S version is all you need to get used to the larger drone.Simply plug in the receiver from your remote control and off you go!

GEPRC Mark5 Analog6SFPV Copter PNP
Of course, an analog 6S Copter should not be missing. Equipped with countless features, this very well-tuned quad provides plenty of fun. Perfect for those who want to discover the power of the 6S battery. Naturally also suitable for existing enthusiasts!

For thedigital Pilots or those who want to become one:

HGLRC FPV Sector D5 Freestyle Racing Drone HD Caddx Polar Vista4SPNP

The Sector D5 in deadcat frame design for our digital pilots, also in the 4S version.
If you want to learn more about different frame types, check out Lexie's blog post on this topic.

iFlight Nazgul Evoque F6X Nebula Pro Vista HD System FPV Copter 6S BNF

One of the most popular ReadyToFly copters on the market, it scores with its innovative design and features. Protection of the electronics is guaranteed by the lightweight side panels. In addition, LEDs are installed throughout the copter and the battery status is displayed on the bottom plate. Out of the box: simple, smooth and full of power.

DJI O3 Air Unit FPV air unit

The DJI O3 Air Unit integrates DJI's state-of-the-art video transmission into a compact and lightweight body, taking your FPV experience to a new level. The DJI O3 Air Unit takes a significant leap forward in camera performance, with its 1/1.7″ sensor, super-wide 155° field of view, top-of-the-line video technology and other improvements. It's also compatible with a wide range of products and offers video transmission that helps you fully realize your creativity in the air.

In case there was nothing in the list, however, there are 2 things an FPV pilot can never have enough of...

... right we are talking about...

Props

... and of course ...

Lipo batteries

Nobody can go wrong with these things.

I hope I was able to help you this year and give you some food for thought for your wish list.

With this in mind, I wish you a Merry Christmas and hope that you can start 2023 with plenty of new FPV gear.

Until then,

your Max!
