How can I activate the DJI Avata?
The DJI Avata must be activated before the first use via the DJI Fly App or DJI Assistant 2 (for hobby drones). Make sure all devices are connected after powering on the aircraft, goggles and remote controller.
Connect the USB-C port of the goggles to your smartphone, start DJI Fly and follow the instructions for activation. An internet connection is required for activation.
How can I update the firmware for the DJI Avata?
Method 1: Using DJI Fly
Switch on the aircraft, the goggles and the remote control. Make sure that all devices are connected to each other. Connect the USB-C port of the goggles to your smartphone, start DJI Fly and follow the instructions to update. An internet connection is required.
Method 2: Using DJI Assistant 2 (for hobby drones)
Switch on the device and connect it to a computer with a USB-C cable.
Launch DJI Assistant 2 (for hobby drones) and log in with your DJI account.
Select the device and click on "Firmware Update" on the left side
Select and confirm the firmware version.
The firmware will be downloaded and updated automatically.
The device will restart automatically after the firmware update.

No. You can connect it to a computer via the Type-C port to read the SD card or use DJI Assistant 2 (for hobby drones) for firmware updates.

Does the DJI Avata support the return function?
Yes, it supports Intelligent Return, Battery Conditional Return and Safety Conditional Return.
How can I switch the DJI Avata to M-mode?
The DJI Avata requires the DJI FPV Remote Control 2 to use M Mode.
In the Goggles view, go to "Settings" > "Controls" > "Remote Control" and then activate M mode.
When the aircraft is in M mode, it will not hover automatically. Please practice in the DJI Flight Simulator before flying in M mode. Also, for more precise control and a better flying experience, please adjust the rear screw so that the thrust stick does not automatically re-center.
Can I replace parts of the DJI Avata aircraft myself?
You can buy and replace the upper shell, the propeller guard and the propellers of the aircraft individually. You can find more information in the corresponding tutorials.
Can I use the DJI Avata without goggles?
No.
Does the DJI Avata support "Find my drone"?
Yes, go to "Settings" > "Safety" > "Find My Drone" in the Goggles view and then activate this function.
The "Find my drone" function makes it easier to find the location of the aircraft on the ground using the cached video in the Goggles. If the aircraft still has battery power, you can switch on the ESC beep to make it easier to find the aircraft using the sound.
What should I pay attention to when using the DJI Avata?
When using the DJI Avata alone:
1. Please do not fly in areas with strong interference, such as areas with many Wi-Fi networks.
2. Avoid long flights at low altitude.
3. Make sure you fly the aircraft in a safe and open area. For more details, please also familiarize yourself with local laws and regulations.
4. Always follow local laws and regulations when flying with goggles.

4. If the live feed becomes blurred because several DJI Avata are flying at the same time, land your aircraft and restart it.

What precautions should be taken when taking off or landing DJI Avata?
1. Before take-off, make sure that the propellers are correctly installed, the sensors are correctly calibrated, the batteries are fully charged and there are no obstacles around the aircraft, such as pedestrians, buildings or trees.
2. Determine in advance a safe landing area with a flat surface away from the water and make sure there are no pedestrians or obstacles nearby. It is recommended to switch to N mode for landing.

The DJI Goggles 2 also come with free frames. If you need astigmatism correction or the diopters of the goggles are not suitable for you, you can purchase additional lenses and use the frames to attach them to the goggles. The goggles are easy to use for different requirements.
How can I lock the diopter setting of the DJI Goggles 2?
After adjusting the diopter, push the adjustment knob up as far as it will go and then tighten it to lock the diopter. This can prevent accidental adjustment during use or storage. Proceed in reverse order to unlock the adjustment knob.

Can I deactivate the automatic re-centering of the thrust stick on the DJI motion control unit?
No, the DJI motion control unit does not have a thrust stick. It has a thrust button. Centering is not necessary here.
What can I do if the remote control cannot connect to the DJI flight simulator?
Try the following steps:
1. Remove the cable that connects your smartphone and the goggles. Turn on the aircraft and goggles, check if you can see the camera view in the goggles, and start the motors with the remote controller to make sure the aircraft is working normally.
2. If everything works normally in step 1, check that the firmware of the remote control, the aircraft and the goggles is updated to the latest version.
3. Switch off the aircraft if everything works normally in step 2. Reconnect your smartphone to the goggles and open the DJI Flight Simulator app.
4. If everything works normally in step 3, try changing the cable that connects the goggles and your smartphone. You can also try disconnecting and reconnecting your smartphone or restarting the goggles several times.
